New bus shelter at the kiosk: A place to wait and linger in the neighborhood

A new bus shelter is being built at the temporary bus stop near 127 Appenzeller Street. It will serve as a stop for bus line 166 and make waiting for the bus more comfortable—especially for people who need a place to sit and shelter from the weather.

What makes this project unique is its construction method: Following the example of the “Zur FÜRstin” kiosk, the bus shelter is also being built as a recycling project. It uses materials from a model facade house that previously served as a template for the facade of the Haus Rotondo. The result is not only a practical shelter but also a design element that ties in with the new buildings in the neighborhood.
