Two new beehives in the neighborhood

We would like to introduce you to your new small, furry neighbors: since this year, bees have also been living in two hives in the FÜRstenried West quarter. In cooperation with the organization Stadtbienen GmbH, honey bee colonies find a – rent-free – home in our district. Bee welfare is particularly important to us, which is why the honey bees are kept organically. This means that the bees build their own combs, reproduce by swarming and overwinter on their own honey.
We only remove the surplus honey.
