Outlook 2024: What will happen in FÜRstenried West this year?

A lot will be happening in our neighborhood in the coming year. In addition to the ongoing progress of the current construction measures, we are planning further important projects for 2024. These include additional storeys and the start of construction of our neighbourhood pavilion. These developments are crucial for the continuous improvement and expansion of our vibrant neighborhood.

Extensions and energy-efficient refurbishments

In 2024, our quarter will continue to grow: in addition to the completion of the ongoing work on the first buildings, four further extensions are planned, including the so-called N-buildings and the Y-building at the future Quartiersplatz and all at the beginning of Appenzeller Strasse. Each building will have two additional storeys in hybrid modular construction. At the same time, energy-efficient refurbishment of the existing buildings is planned. At the same time, we are planning to install a photovoltaic system and implement a digitalization concept that includes a digital access system and a digital mailbox system. These steps mark an important milestone in the development of our neighborhood. We will do our utmost to keep the disruption to you as low as possible during the upcoming construction phases and thank you for your understanding and continued support.

New neighborhood pavilion as a central meeting point

For 2024, we are planning to build a neighborhood pavilion made of sustainable materials with reused windows from our renovations. Similar to the neighborhood meeting place, it will be available for rent and offer a kiosk function.

Construction of the new underground parking garage at Quartiersplatz

Next year, we will start building the three-storey underground parking garage at the central square in the neighborhood. It will offer around 250 parking spaces, both for residents and short-term parking spaces for guests, friends and family.
