Children’s and youth centre: The Kreisjugendring in Fürstenried introduces itself
The Intermezzo is a children’s and youth centre run by the Munich District Youth Council and is open from Monday to Friday for everyone between the ages of 8 and 18.
The Intermezzo offers several focal points: On the one hand, the open youth café with many leisure activities, project programmes and advice on questions from visitors. During the holidays, there is a wide range of offers for various leisure destinations or adventure-pedagogical tours in and around Munich. The open all-day school (OGS) takes place four times a week – after registration – in the building, where lunch, homework supervision and leisure activities are on the programme.
Attached to the main building is ‘The Workshop’ with its creative programmes: Here you can take part in courses using a wide range of materials. You can find the current newsletter at musischkreative-werkstatt.de.
The cultural focus Spectaculum Mundi offers a colourful cultural programme with a cappella, poetry slams, musical programmes and school events of all kinds. At the Walliser Straße secondary school and the Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Realschule, school social workers provide counselling, support and assistance with all aspects of student life.
Intermezzo is celebrating its 60th birthday this year and can look back on a lively period of youth work in Fürstenried. It is well positioned for the interests, wishes and problems of young people in the future!
