New Places for Exercise and Socializing

The outdoor spaces in Fürstenried West are being developed step by step. The goal is to better organize the existing areas and create additional opportunities for physical activity, relaxation, and neighborhood interactions. The plan calls for four smaller outdoor gathering spots, known as “neighborhood hangouts,” where residents and visitors can easily come together.

The outdoor areas will be complemented by a calisthenics course, barbecue stations, and herb beds. Three playgrounds—themed around bees, climbing, and water and mud play—are already available today. The area around the “Zur FÜRstin” kiosk will also be further enhanced. The new bus shelter, made from reused materials, already provides an additional place to sit and relax there.

Additional plans include a bocce court, table tennis tables, and more places to play and sit. In this way, new spaces will gradually emerge that make spending time outdoors more enjoyable and strengthen community life in the neighborhood.
