Exchange and give away in Fürstenried West

There are several places in the FÜRstenried West neighbourhood where books and other items can be exchanged and given away. We want to broaden our view and go in search of other places in the neighborhood.

We’ve all been there: the book is finished and goes on the shelf. But it would be so nice to make room for something new and make other people in the neighborhood happy by passing on the book you’ve read.

This is exactly the idea behind swap and giveaway cabinets like the one in our FÜRstenried West neighborhood. In addition to the established places in the district, we want to take a look at the neighborhood and see where there are other places to swap and give away. During our search, we came across Kemptener Straße 73.

This is where the so-called “Tauschhütte” is located. Together with the Friedenskapelle family center, the Kreislaufschränke München e.V. association has built a small hut where things can be handed in at any time for swapping and giving away. The hut is open around the clock.

Swap meets like this work particularly well if a few rules are observed: Only usable items should be handed in. Dirty or no longer functional items belong in the bulky waste. If these rules are adhered to, the whole neighborhood benefits from the free offer.
